Catenary Wire
Contact wires play a vital role in powering electric trains by carrying current through the overhead line system. These wires are in constant contact with current collectors such as pantographs, low collectors, or trolley poles, which press against the underside of the contact wire to draw power.
Manufactured using high-conductivity copper or copper alloys, our contact wires are available in a wide range of cross-sectional areas from 80 mm² to 193 mm² and are designed to meet the demands of high-speed, high-load railway applications.
